A registered study is not evidence that something works. Registration simply means a study has been declared publicly before it runs — which is a good thing, because it stops unflattering results being quietly buried. Many studies find no benefit, and some find harm. Never pursue an experimental treatment on the strength of a registry entry, and never stop an existing treatment because something new is being trialled.

Why we link instead of summarise

Interpreting a clinical trial is genuinely difficult work. Sample size, endpoints, blinding, who funded it and what was left unpublished all change what a result means. We are not going to compress that into a headline, because the compression is exactly where health reporting usually goes wrong.

So we do something more modest and more useful: we tell you what exists, and hand you the registry entry so you can look at it — or take it to your doctor and ask.

Conditions with the most registered studies

Counts are the number of registry entries whose condition field matches the term, so they indicate research activity, not disease burden or importance. Broad groupings such as “Neurologic Diseases” are excluded from this ranking because they match thousands of studies across many unrelated conditions — you will still find their studies on their own pages.

Study counts from ClinicalTrials.gov, a service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine. The registry is international but not exhaustive — studies registered only with other national registries will not appear.
